Family, I am encouraging you to participate and come out and enjoy our family. We are losing far too many family members to hold on to issues. So. if you have a problem with another family member, forgive them, love them and move on because our family theme is “It all about love”

We will have only 2 meetings about the suggestions with our family. I will only write only a one-page document so the information is clear. So let’s spread the word about the family reunion. I love you and want to see each of you in Mississippi. if you have any questions call me or email at any time. My number is 770-656-5899 I would love to hear from you about the family. This year’s colors are black t- shirts with white writing, It will be very easy to match you’re your clothing.

Thanks again.

James Berry

Money Berry

July 1893 -October 1981

Money’s first child was named Johnny Berry whom he loved dearly. Johnny’s mother, America Magee died while delivering him. Money then married Betty Smith. They went on to have five more beautiful children and they are as follows: Kathryn Kizziee, Alma Everlyn Gray, Dolly Oatis-Daniel, Mona Wilson, and Charlie Berry. Money and Betty Berry were married for many years; however, Betty passed and Money married several other women, but they did not have children.

We are proud to announce that Money Berry purchased his own land in Prentiss, Mississippi, where he raised his family, proudly farmed, and lived on this land. Many people still freed slaves and were allowed to stay and work the land for the white land owners. For pay, the workers harvested were allowed to build small houses on ex-slaves owner’s land which, in many cases, the ex-slaves were able to later purchase. They were called sharecroppers before the death of Money. As a great man leaves an inheritance for his children, Money followed in his father’s footsteps and left all of his land to his children, in which they did the same to create their property. In keeping with family tradition and in accordance with the property conveyance, this land is entrusted to our family and held for the ownership of only our family. Today, it is maintained and still owned by our own family.
